Questions before you reach out?

Here are answers to a few common ones. If yours is not here, just ask.

Is a consultation really free, and will I get pressured to buy?

Yes, the bill review and consultation are free, and no, you will not be pressured. The goal is to help you understand your electric bill and your options. If solar does not make sense for your home, I will tell you that plainly.

Do I have to put money down to go solar?

Not always. Some homeowners buy their system with cash or a loan and own it outright. Others use a power purchase agreement, which can require little or no money down. We walk through both so you can see which fits your situation.

Did the federal solar tax credit really go away?

The 30 percent federal credit for homeowners who buy and own their system ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. Third-party-owned options such as leases and power purchase agreements may still capture a federal credit through the system owner. Tax situations vary, so always confirm with a licensed tax professional.

What changed with net metering in Illinois?

Starting January 1, 2025, new ComEd and Ameren solar customers moved to net billing. Energy you send to the grid is now credited at the supply portion of the rate rather than the full retail rate. Systems connected before that date were grandfathered into the old rules. This change matters for the math, and we factor it in honestly.

What areas do you serve?

I serve homeowners across central Illinois, with my core markets being the Champaign and Bloomington areas and the surrounding communities.

Are you really veteran-owned?

Yes. I am a U.S. Army combat veteran. I served my country, and now I want to serve my community with the same honesty and accountability.
